MindPath Care Centers Adds New Board Member

MindPath Care Centers — North Carolina’s largest outpatient behavioral health provider — has appointed a new member to its board of directors. 

Dave Nelson, chief development officer at the Advanced Urology Institute of Georgia, was appointed to the board earlier this month.

MindPath Care Centers provides various types of therapy, counseling and addiction recovery services across North Carolina, with 160-plus providers working in more than 20 locations across the state. It also offers telehealth, medication management and collaborative care. 

While Advanced Urology Institute provides medical urologic services rather than behavioral health care, MindPath tapped Nelson for his experience growing businesses and delivering outcomes for patients, according to a press release announcing the news. 

In addition to his current role, Nelson has held executive-level positions as companies such as DermOne, ATI Physical Therapy and Coram Healthcare. 

“Dave Nelson’s diverse background as a leader in the development of multi-site specialty practices, especially related to expansion, business development and M&A coupled with his knowledge and ability to drive patient-centered excellence, makes him an ideal addition to our board,” MindPath CEO Jeff Williams said in the press release.
