Pyramid Healthcare opens second Georgia facility

Pyramid Family Behavioral Healthcare has opened a new center in the Atlanta suburb of Sandy Springs, Georgia.

The program provides intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization treatment services to adults and adolescents.

Pyramid Family Behavioral Healthcare also offers treatment services in a second Atlanta suburb in Johns Creek. Its parent, Pyramid Healthcare, operates various locations throughout New Jersey, North Carolina and Pennsylvania.

Cortica adds new center

San Diego-based Cortica, a provider of advanced neurological therapies for conditions such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and which serves children in California, has opened a center in Westlake Village.

The new center, located west of Los Angeles, marks Cortica’s sixth location.

Cortica’s services are provided to children in-person, in-home and by teleconference.

Oceans debuts new Texas location

Plano, Texas-based Oceans Healthcare has opened a new location in Waco where it provides inpatient and outpatient behavioral health care services.

The 32,700-square-foot facility offers inpatient treatment to individuals 50 and older, as well as intensive outpatient treatment to patients 18 and older.

The new facility marks the seventh in Texas for Oceans, which has 16 facilities overall across Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi. 

Eating By Faith adds new clinic

Eating By Faith, a Cincinnati-based eating disorder treatment provider, has opened a new clinic in suburban Terrace Park, Ohio.

The center offers individual and group counseling sessions along with offsite recreational activities encouraging healthy eating practices.

Women-only behavioral health clinic in Colorado

Aurora, Colorado-based HealthONE Behavioral Health and Wellness Center has opened a new mental health clinic for women ages 18 and older. The facility is staffed entirely by women.

The behavioral health clinic, which only serves women, bills itself as the first center of its kind in Colorado. It is open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

The clinic offers counseling services for conditions such as anxiety, postpartum depression, PTSD and trauma, according to TV station KRDO. It has 20 inpatient beds and provides outpatient services. It also accepts walk-in patients.

HealthONE is one the largest health care systems in the Denver area, and is part of Nashville, Tennessee-based HCA Healthcare (NYSE: HCA).

New learning center for ASD youth opens

A new learning center for children with ASD has opened in the St. Louis suburb of Fairview Heights, Illinois.

Masons Place Too provides a day learning program for children ages 3 to 12. It also provides therapy, resources and social skills classes for children ages 3 to 18.

Burrell Behavioral Health to build crisis center 

Springfield, Missouri-based Burrell Behavioral Health has signed a contract with officials in Greene County, Missouri to build a 24-hour, 7 day-a-week crisis center.

The center, which is to be located in Springfield, will provide services to individuals suffering from acute behavioral health and addiction issues.

Funding for the center will come from a mix of public and private dollars, which includes a $1 million pledge from the state, according to the Springfield News-Leader.  

Compass Health breaks ground on new behavioral health campus

Everett, Washington-based Compass Health has broken ground on a five-story, 47,000-square-foot facility to be located in the city’s downtown. The facility will offer behavioral health and medical services.

The first phase of Compass’s Broadway Campus Redevelopment project — which includes three construction phases — will be completed in 2021 and will include 82 residential units for individuals with chronic behavioral health issues.

The center will also provide behavioral health prevention services as well as integrated primary care services upon the completion of the second and third phases of the project.
