Acadia, Covenant Health break ground on new behavioral hospital 

Acadia Healthcare (Nasdaq: ACHC) and Covenant Health have officially started construction on their newest inpatient behavioral health hospital, East Tennessee Behavioral Health.

Franklin, Tennessee-based Acadia is a behavioral health provider that operates nearly 600 behavioral health facilities across the U.S., the U.K. and Puerto Rico. Meanwhile, Covenant is a community-owned health system that provides comprehensive services across Tennessee.

The organizations, which first announced the joint venture in 2019, held a virtual groundbreaking for East Tennessee Behavioral Health Wednesday.

The $33.3 million state-of-the-are facility is being built on 10 acres in West Knoxville. It will have 90 beds, with the potential to eventually add another 48, and serve patients with mental health conditions and substance use disorders (SUD).

East Tennessee Behavioral Health is scheduled to open in fall of 2021.

Pinnacle Treatment Centers opens new OTP

Pinnacle Treatment Centers — an SUD treatment provider with about 115 locations across eight states — has opened a new opioid treatment program (OTP) in Marion, Ohio.

The program marks Pinnacle’s 14th outpatient OUD treatment center in the state.

The OTP provides the full range of medication-assisted treatment (MAT) services. In addition to medication, patients have access to individual and group counseling. The center accepts Medicaid, Medicare and commercial insurance, in addition to offering self-pay options.

Integrative Life Center opens new residential program 

Nashville-based Integrated Life Center (ILC) has added a new residential program for men with mental health conditions and SUDs.

The addition comes about six months after the behavioral health center added a similar program for women.

The new residential program will have eight beds.

ILC now offers residential treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient and aftercare for both men and women.
