Spero Health expands in Ohio
Spero Health has opened two new outpatient substance use disorder (SUD) treatment clinics in Ohio.
The new clinics in Lima and Marion further bolster the provider’s network of more than 40 Spero Health locations across Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee, Indiana and Virginia.
Headquartered in Nashville, Spero Health is privately held by Heritage Group, Health Velocity Capital, South Central, Inc. and Frist Cressey Ventures. It is one of the largest office-based opioid treatment providers (OTPs) in the country, serving more than 7,500 patients per month.
Spero Health offers a combination of in-person and telehealth services, and is in network with Medicaid and most commercial insurance plans.
In addition to the new clinics in Lima and Marion, Spero Health plans to add locations in Mansfield and Findlay, Ohio, within the next few weeks, the company announced in a press release.
Wellpath opens OUD treatment center
Wellpath — a provider of health care for prisoners and other vulnerable patients in challenging clinical environments — has opened a community care center devoted to treating opioid use disorder (OUD). The new center is located in Roseville, California.
Headquartered in Nashville, Wellpath provides medical and behavioral health services across 36 states in the U.S. and Australia. It’s currently owned by the private equity (PE) firm HIG Capital.
The new Roseville center will offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for OUD. Telehealth and in-person services are available. California Medicaid and certain private insurances are accepted.
Summit BHC adds new center in Pennsylvania
Summit BHC has opened a new addiction recovery center in Pennsylvania.
Brentwood, Tennessee-based Summit BHC is a national provider of addiction treatment and behavioral health services. Lee Equity Partners and FFL Partners have controlling stake in the company.
With the addition of the new facility, French Creek Recovery Center, Summit BHC now operates 21 behavioral health and addiction treatment centers in 15 states. The center marks the provider’s fourth location in the state and its first new facility to open this year.
French Creek Recovery Center will offer detox, residential and continuing care services and have a 50-bed capacity.
Outreach Recovery’s Mid-Atlantic expansion
Outreach Recovery has opened a new location in Baltimore, Maryland. With 18 locations in the mid-Atlantic, the new clinic makes Outreach one of the largest MAT programs in the region, the company said in a press release announcing the news.
Outreach specializes in treating patients with co-occuring mental health conditions and SUDs. It has locations in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia and New Jersey.
Outreach plans to open additional locations in the Baltimore area by the end of 2020 and early 2021, it announced in the press release.
Rogers Behavioral Health announces new research, resource center
Rogers Behavioral Health has announced plans to open a new research and resource center.
Based in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, Rogers is a private, not-for-profit behavioral health provider. It has 20 locations scattered across 9 states, providing various levels of care for a myriad of mental health conditions and SUDs.
The new center, which will be located on Rogers’ Oconomowoc hospital campus, is made possible by a $2 million donation from the Ladish Co. Foundation. The new center will be named in the foundation’s honor and is expected to open in summer 2021.
It will house the Rogers Behavioral Health Foundation, Rogers Research Center and an array of hospitality and spiritual care services.
Lighthouse Autism Center deepens Indiana footprint
Lighthouse Autism Center is adding three new locations in northern Indiana.
Lighthouse — which is backed by the PE company Abry Partners — provides applied behavioral analysis (ABA) therapy to children in Michigan and Indiana. It currently has more than a dozen locations across the two states.
The new centers will open in Plymouth, Warsaw and Goshen this fall, making Lighthouse the largest ABA provider in northern Indiana, according to a press release announcing the news.
First Children Services to open new autism center
First Children Services — a provider of health and special education services in New Jersey and Pennsylvania — has announced plans to open a new treatment center for children with autism.
It will be located in Pottstown, Pennsylvania and provide assessment, diagnostic and treatment services.
The center will begin serving clients Nov. 1.
Behavioral Innovations adds two new centers
Behavioral Innovations — a provider of ABA services for children with autism — has opened two new centers in the Denver area.
“The Arvada and Highlands Ranch locations represent our 2nd and 3rd locations in the Denver metro area, with additional locations currently in-process,” Chief Growth Officer Dave Briedis said in a press release. “We are laser-focused on providing safe, welcoming, and conveniently located centers. We look forward to expanding our presence in the area and providing a best-in-class experience for our clinicians and the children and families we serve.”
The company opened its first ABA therapy treatment location in Dallas, Texas in 2003.
Today, the provider has more than 50 locations across Texas, Oklahoma and Colorado. It is owned by the PE company Shore Capital Partners.
