SaVida Health adds second Maine center

SaVida Health has opened its second medication-assisted treatment (MAT) center in Maine. The new location is set to open in Brewer on Nov. 5.

Overall, SaVida operates more than 20 outpatient MAT centers across Vermont, Massachusetts, Maine, Virginia and Delaware. The PE firm Council Capital made a control investment in the company back in 2017.

Lighthouse Autism Center expands in Michigan

Lighthouse Autism Center has announced the opening of a new location in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The center will be the provider’s second in southwestern Michigan.

Lighthouse — which is backed by the PE company Abry Partners — provides applied behavioral analysis (ABA) therapy to children in Michigan and Indiana. It currently has more than a dozen locations across the two states.

Walden Behavioral Care opens largest eating disorder hospital in US

Walden Behavioral Care has opened the country’s largest inpatient and residential care facility for eating disorders patients, the mental health care system announced in a press release.

The new 68,000-square-foot facility is located in Dedham, Massachusetts. It boasts 82 residential and inpatient beds.

In total, Walden Behavioral Care has 15 locations across Connecticut, Massachusetts and Georgia. The company is backed by Seacoast Capital, a private investment firm that specializes in non-control investments in small, growing companies.

NewVista Healthcare to add new SUD treatment centers

NewVista Healthcare — which develops and operates behavioral health facilities — has announced plans to open two new SUD treatment centers in the Cleveland area.

Construction on the first facility in Euclid has already started. When the $4.9 million renovation project is complete, the treatment center will have 140 beds and offer the full continuum of care. Construction on the second facility — which will be located in the city’s Southwest side and have 80 to 100 beds — is expected to start in early 2021.

NewVista has at least four other locations, all of which are in Ohio.
