Caravel Autism Health adds another Midwestern location

Caravel Autism Health has announced the addition of a new center in greater Duluth, Minnesota. The new location, set to open in December, is the ninth Caravel has opened in the state since 2019. 

Caravel is a private equity-backed autism services provider based in the Midwest. It specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of children with autism, with about 30 locations across Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota.

The company was founded in 2009. Nine years later, in 2018, the company scored a strategic investment from Frazier Healthcare Partners, a Seattle-based PE and venture capital firm.

The provider’s newest center will be located in Hermantown, Minnesota. The new location will offer both diagnostic and applied behavior analysis (ABA) treatment.

Caravel’s Imagine expands in Idaho

Imagine, a Caravel Autism Health company, has announced plans to open three new ABA centers in Idaho for children with autism.

Founded in 2011, Imagine is an autism services provider that offers diagnostics and ABA treatment. The provider has about half a dozen locations across Idaho and Washington state, where it continues to expand its footprint. Imagine provides services in center-, home-, community- and school-based settings.

In 2019, Imagine became part of Caravel.

Imagine’s latest centers are slated to open in East Boise, Nampa and Meridian in the next couple months. The East Boise location will open first, in December, with the other two locations anticipated to launch in early 2021. 

The news of the Idaho facilities comes less than a month after the provider announced the addition of a new center in the Seattle-Tacoma area.

Herren Wellness opens second SUD recovery center

Herren Wellness — a residential SUD treatment organization founded by former professional basketball player Chris Herren — has opened a second location.

The new recovery and wellness center, called Herren Wellness at Twin Oaks, is located in Warrenton, Virginia. The provider’s flagship location is located in Seekonk, Massachusetts.

Herren Wellness at Twin Oaks will offer substance use, health and wellness services to men and women recovering from SUD. The residential facility features private and semi-private rooms, walking paths, an in-ground pool, an on-site chef, tennis courts and more.
