Pipeline: Hopebridge Adds Six New Locations in Arizona; Caravel Expands in Midwest

Hopebridge deepens footprint in Southwest 

Hopebridge Autism Therapy Centers has announced the addition of six locations in Arizona.

The new centers are located in Flagstaff, Mesa, North Tucson, Phoenix Central, Surprise and Tempe. They bring the provider’s total number of facilities in the state up to 12.

Headquartered in Indianapolis, Hopebridge is one of the nation’s largest autism treatment organizations. The provider, which is backed by the private equity firm Arsenal Capital Partners, offers center-based applied behavior analysis (ABA), diagnostics, occupational therapy and speech therapy to children on the autism spectrum.

Hopebridge hinted at the Arizona expansion a few months ago, when it announced plans to add more than 2,700 new employees and open up to 20 new locations across multiple states in 2021. As of September 2020, Hopebridge had 54 locations across six states.

Caravel expands in Illinois

Caravel Autism Health is adding a new center in Illinois. The facility — which will serve the Naperville, Warrenville and Aurora areas in the Chicago suburbs — will open its doors next week. 

The center will provide evaluation, diagnosis, evidence-based therapy and family support services for children with autism.

Caravel is an autism services provider focused on the Midwest. It has about  40 locations across Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota, where its facilities specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of children with autism. It offers customized applied behavioral analysis (ABA), among other services, and is backed by the Seattle-based PE and venture capital firm Frazier Healthcare Partners. 

Luna Recovery adds residential program

Luna Recovery Services — an outpatient substance use disorder (SUD) treatment provider based in Texas — has opened a new residential facility.

Founded in 2016 and located in Houston, Luna has historically offered day treatment and outpatient programs for SUD. Some of its offerings include partial hospitalization programming (PHP), intensive outpatient programming (IOP), recovery coaching, intervention services, assessments, individual therapy and family case management.

Most recently, it added a new residential treatment option for patients with more intensive needs. Also located in the Houston area, the new program treats patients ages 18 and up, and it has the capacity to treat up to nine clients at once, according to a press release announcing the news.
