Oceans opens new behavioral hospital
Oceans Healthcare has opened a new behavioral health hospital in North Baton Rouge.
The facility is Oceans’ third in the area, tripling the provider’s capacity to provide inpatient care in the community. The new 40-bed hospital brings Oceans’ total bed count in Baton Rouge up to 60.
The new Oceans Behavioral Hospital Baton Rouge will specialize in treating mature adults with post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, depression and other mental illnesses. It will provide inpatient care such as therapy, medication management, mental health education and treatment for co-occurring conditions. It will also provide intensive outpatient programming (IOP).
Based in Plano, Texas, Oceans has 33 locations across Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi. Backed by the venture capital firm General Catalyst Partners, Oceans focuses on underserved populations, such as seniors and people in rural geographies.
Little Leaves expands in Mid-Atlantic
Little Leaves — a center-based applied behavioral analysis (ABA) provider — has opened a new location in Columbia, Maryland. With the addition, the ABA provider now has four autism centers in the state.
Little Leaves serves children up to age six in preschool-like settings. It is a division of FullBloom, a Camden, New Jersey-based youth behavioral health company that serves over 100,000 children a year across 42 states and 11 countries.
The company’s latest addition comes just a couple weeks after it opened another center in Ashburn, Virginia.
InBloom Autism adds Arizona center
InBloom Autism Services has added another location in Arizona in the Phoenix area town of Chandler.
Headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, InBloom provides center-based ABA to children throughout Florida, Massachusetts, Wisconsin, Texas, Colorado, Arizona, New Hampshire and Connecticut. It is owned by Webster Equity Partners and has more than 15 centers total.
Autism Learning Partners expands in Utah
Autism Learning Partners (ALP) — an ABA provider formerly known as Pacific Child & Family Associates — has added a new location in Salt Lake City, Utah.
It opened the location in response to requests for in-home ABA services there. It also has a location in Provo, Utah, where it has been offering services since June 2019.
Founded in 1988, ALP provides in-home and in-clinic ABA services across 19 states. It also offers speech, occupational, physical therapies and diagnostic services in select areas.
Safe & Sound Treatment adds residential detox
Safe & Sound Treatment has opened a new residential detox center in Huntington Beach, California, for people with alcohol use disorder (AUD) and substance use disorders (SUDs).
The SUD treatment provider also has a residential inpatient program, a partial hospitalization program, an intensive outpatient program and an outpatient program, all also located in Southern California.
