Talkiatry welcomes new chief technology officer

The technology-driven behavioral health company Talkaitry has named Jared Camins as its chief technology officer.

Camins arrives at Talkiatry from the hearing loss treatment company Lively, where he was its lead software engineer. He has also previously held tech positions with the health care companies Cityblock Health, Zocdoc and Remedy Partners.

Founded last April, the New York-based Talkiatry provides psychiatric care assistance to individuals both in-person and by telehealth. It uses a unique technology-driven model to help solve the common problems psychiatrists face, while meeting the needs of insurance companies.

Talkiatry, in February, raised $5 million in a Series A round led by Sikwoo Capital Partners, with participation from Relevance Ventures and CityMD founder and former CEO Richard Park.

Eventually, Talkiatry aims to achieve national scale using collaborative care.

Integrated Behavioral Health names new CEO

Irvine, California-based Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH), which manages behavioral health SUD treatment plans for employers, has named Mike Nolte as its new CEO.

Nolte previously served as CEO of the pharmaceutical company Signant Health. His professional experience also includes stops at places such as McKinsey & Company and GE Healthcare, where he led several health care IT businesses.

IBH is a platform company of Periscope Equity. It partners with 38,000 companies to touch 8 million lives, while boasting a credentialed provider network of 60,000 clinicians.

SUD treatment provider hires new clinical director

AdCare Rhode Island, a 59-bed inpatient alcohol and drug treatment center in North Kingstown, Rhode Island, has named Allen McLeod as its director of clinical services.

A licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) and licensed chemical dependency professional (LCDC), McLeod has more than 20 years experience working with populations including individuals with serious mental health conditions, at-risk pregnant women, veterans and those in hospital diversion and criminal justice programs.

McLeod comes to AdCare Rhode Island from the Stonington Institute, a North Stonington, Connecticut substance use disorder (SUD) treatment clinic, where he was its program director.

AdCare Rhode Island is part of AdCare Treatment Services, which offers outpatient and inpatient behavioral health care at eight other locations across the Ocean State and Massachusetts.

AdCare Treatment Services is an affiliate of American Addiction Centers (AAC). Headquartered in Brentwood, Tennessee-based, AAC bills itself as the largest pure-play SUD provider in the nation. It offers both inpatient and outpatient treatment services, with 26 facilities in eight states.

Centerstone makes executive appointments

Community behavioral health system Centerstone has announced two additions to its executive team.

Matt Hardy has been named the chief operating officer (COO) for Centerstone’s Tennessee, Georgia and North Carolina region, where he will oversee its clinical and business operations. He joined Centerstone in 2000 as a therapist and most recently served as a regional vice president for the provider.

Meanwhile, Brad Nunn has been named Centerstone’s new chief clinical quality officer for its Tennessee, Georgia and North Carolina region. Joining Centerstone in 1987, Nunn was most recently a vice president of quality improvement.

Centerstone is the largest community behavioral health care provider in the U.S., operating more than 170 locations and two full-scale treatment centers across multiple states. The Nashville, Tennessee-based Centerstone also operates a research institute, a foundation and a number of specialized programs.

ABA provider names new chief business officer

Springtide Child Development — a Trumbull, Connecticut-based provider of applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy to children with autism — has named Ipek Demirsoy as its chief business officer.

Demirsoy comes to Springtide from the Massachusetts Office of Health and Human Services, where she was its chief accountable care, analytics and systems officer. She also previously worked for McKinsey & Company.

Springtide was founded last year, opening its Trumbull facility in June 2020. The provider — which serves youth ages 2 to 18 — opened a second location in Ridgefield, Connecticut in February, and has plans to open two more centers this fall in West Hartford, Connecticut, and Dedham, Massachusetts.

NECC brings its first chief technology officer aboard

The New England Center for Children (NECC), a Southborough, Massachusetts-based school and research center serving autistic children, has named Darryl Agostinelli as its first chief technology officer.

Agostinelli has spent over two decades in software engineering, working for Microsoft, Razorfish, Dell and Charles Schwab. He is also the founder and managing principal of Saggio Technologies, a Cedar Park, Texas-based business software company.

NECC serves children and young adults ages 14 months to 22. NECC is also an ABA software developer and operates a center in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
