SilverCloud Health Unveils New Suite of Behavioral Health Offerings for Families and Youth

Mental health services platform SilverCloud Health is rolling out a suite of offerings to address family health concerns, which comes in the wake of the pandemic and global events.

The six-course suite features programs, content and interactive tools that incorporate integrated cognitive behavioral therapy. The suite was piloted through Fountain Valley, California-based MemorialCare, a Los Angeles-area nonprofit health care system that specializes in the integration of behavioral health with primary care services.

The offerings include:

  • Space for Early Parenting, which focuses on perinatal behavioral health services for men and women
  • Supporting an Anxious Child, which is designed for caregivers of children ages 5-11 who are dealing with anxiety issues
  • Supporting an Anxious Teen, which is designed for caregivers of teens ages 12-18 who are dealing with issues of worry and anxiety
  • Space from Anxiety for Teens, which provides anti-anxiety coping strategies for teens ages 15-18
  • Space from Depression for Teens, which is intended to alleviate symptoms of depression and low mood among teens ages 15-18
  • Space from Depression and Anxiety for Teens, which is intended to alleviate symptoms of depression and anxiety among teens ages 15-18

“The pandemic coupled with global times of uncertainty have put an immense amount of pressure on almost all families – yet there is an alarming lack of effective, accessible, solutions available today that address the needs for the whole family,” SilverCloud Health General Manager Ken Cahill said in a press release.

SilverCloud is a subsidiary of Boston-based telehealth and tech company Amwell (NYSE: AMWL). Amwell purchased SilverCloud last year as part of a $320 million deal.

“Resources are needed now more than ever as households across the U.S. struggle as a result of the global pandemic, and we’re extremely proud to introduce these programs, tools and videos in an effort to help fill these gaps for families at various stages of life,” Cahill added.

SilverCloud’s coaching and self-guided support programs are available 24/7 by way of a smartphone, tablet or computer. Over 500 organizations worldwide use SilverCloud’s platform, which in addition to MemorialCare includes health care systems such as Kaiser Permanente and Yale Medicine.
