This Privacy Policy describes how Behavioral Health Business (BHB) and all of its affiliate web properties (“the Service”), owned by Aging Media Network, Inc., handles the information learned and received about consumers when consumers visit our websites, mobile sites, applications or events of if you contact us by mail, phone or email.

Summary

We collect your data, as outlined below, by obtaining basic information of our readers in a professional context such as name, email, job title, company name, phone number to provide access to our news, events and other programming. We honor and respect the privacy of our readers and will comply with wishes to be removed as outlined below. We will not share the data we collect with anyone unless you explicitly consent us to do so.

We use the data you provide for access to the content and events that we produce as well as use profile data to help improve our product and programming and may store and use this information to provide you updates on products or services offered by BHB that maybe useful. For specific programs, we are contractually bound to share registration data with one or more of our third-party sponsors or advertisers that help underwrite webinars, white papers, events or surveys. For these programs, we make it clear that the data you share will be provided to the specified third party. Many of the features of BHB Websites are available to you without providing personally identifiable information.

Aging Media Network Inc. (AMN) operates several websites related to aging and housing content and services. BHB may share personal information collected from users of its websites internally across these websites to offer products and services from time to time.

We may use personal information collected to send out sponsored, targeted email promotions on behalf of its advertisers and industry partners.

If you participate webinars, live events, award programs, we use personal information to contact you to remind you of upcoming deadlines or additional information concerning these programs and events.

BHB occasionally conducts subscriber and/or user surveys to better target our content to our audiences. The aggregated information collected is sometimes shared with our advertisers, however, we do not share specific individual information with third parties.

If you provide financial information, we use that information primarily to verify your credit and collect payments for your purchases, orders, awards entries, event registrations and other paid products.

If you post comments or articles on the site or any social media channels where BHB has a presence including but not limited to Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and others; any personally identifiable information you provide in those comments or articles will be public. As such, we are not responsible for personally identifiable information that you may choose to share through these channels.

BHB does not loan, rent or sell your personally identifiable information unless expressly disclosed and agreed upon by you prior to requesting access to our programming listed above. This is fully disclosed to you prior to registering for any information such as an e-book, white paper, event, webinar, event or other service.

However, the following describes some of the ways that your personally identifiable information may be disclosed in the normal scope of business to provide BHB services:

If you would like us to delete your information entirely, or request the information we store about you, please send an email to [email protected] or in writing to the address above. Should you request to have your personal data erased, we will confirm the request and upon confirmation will complete the request within requisite time frames outlined by GDPR for a legitimate request. Personally identifiable information you submit to BHB is password-protected for your privacy and security. BHB uses industry-standard SSL-encryption to protect data transmissions. In the unlikely event that an unauthorized third-party compromises BHB security measures, BHB will not be responsible for any damages directly or indirectly caused by an unauthorized third party’s ability to view, use or disseminate such information. BHB has systems that reviews our infrastructure related to continuous security monitoring, data breaches and security incident management. We also restrict access to personal information to our staff and third parties who need to know that information in order to process it for us and that are also subject to confidentiality agreements and obligations and maybe disciplined or terminated if they fail to meet these obligations. Governing Law; Arbitration

This Privacy Policy is to be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard for principles of conflicts of laws. Any civil action, claim, dispute or proceeding arising out of, or relating to, this Privacy Policy shall be referred to final and binding arbitration, before a single arbitrator, under the commercial arbitration rules of the American Arbitration Association in Cook County, Illinois. You and BHB shall select the arbitrator, and if you and BHB are unable to reach agreement on selection of the arbitrator within sixty (60) days after the notice of arbitration is served, then the American Arbitration Association shall select the arbitrator. Arbitration shall not commence until the party requesting it has deposited Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) with the arbitrator as a retainer for the arbitrator’s fees and costs. The party requesting arbitration shall advance such sums as are required from time to time by the arbitrator to pay the arbitrator’s fees and costs until the prevailing party is determined or the parties have agreed in writing to an alternate allocation of fees and costs.

Judgment upon any award rendered by the arbitrator shall be final, binding and conclusive upon you and BHB, and your and BHB’s respective administrators, executors, legal representatives, successors and assigns, and may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction. Notwithstanding the previous sentence, in no event shall either you or BHB be entitled to punitive, special, indirect or consequential damages, and both you and BHB hereby waive your rights to any punitive, special, indirect or consequential damages, including, but not limited to, damages for any loss of profit, revenue or business.

Miscellaneous

If any portion of this Privacy Policy is deemed unlawful, void or unenforceable by any arbitrator, this Privacy Policy as a whole shall not be deemed unlawful, void or unenforceable, but only that portion of this Privacy Policy that is unlawful, void or unenforceable shall be stricken from this Privacy Policy.
