Mindpath Health Purchases Four Vertava Health Outpatient Locations in Ohio

With less than a month to go before the beginning of 2022, Mindpath Health shows no signs of letting up on the expansion front.

The behavioral health provider announced it has acquired four outpatient addiction treatment offices in Ohio from Vertava Health.

Terms of the deal, which was announced Wednesday, were not disclosed.

The Ohio outpatient offices that were sold by Nashville, Tennessee-based Vertava are located in the Cleveland suburbs of Rocky River and Beachwood, as well as in the Columbus suburbs of Dublin and Westerville. Vertava will continue to operate the four clinics’ inpatient services.

In addition to Ohio, Vertava has locations in Tennessee, Massachusetts, Mississippi and Texas.

“This opportunity enables us to cultivate a strategic partnership with a fast-growing, national organization to facilitate access to more mental health opportunities for our patients,” Vertava Chief Development Officer Tom Viscelli said in a press release.

The purchase of Vertava’s Ohio offerings brings the number of MindPath Health locations nationwide to over 80. More than 500 mental health clinicians are employed by Mindpath Health.

“We are thrilled to have expanded our reach to the state of Ohio, an important area of growth for Mindpath Health, with the acquisition of four Vertava Health outpatient locations in the state,” Mindpath Health CEO Christopher Brengard said in the press release.

Sacramento, California-based Mindpath Health – which provides outpatient psychiatry, psychotherapy and addiction treatment services – recently acquired Chandler, Arizona-based Metropolitan Neuro Behavioral Health Institute to establish its first footprint in the state.

In addition to Ohio and Arizona, Mindpath Health operates locations across California, Texas, North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida.
